**What role will you play?**
In this role you will be responsible for effectively managing the State team through leading, coaching and developing the Business Development Managers and fostering a high-performance culture that celebrates success, supports learning, personal development and growth and ultimately supports Macquarie to achieve our market share objectives in Personal Banking.
As Broker State Manager you will be ensuring your Business Development Managers are accountable for sales and quality outcomes through portfolio and pipeline management. You'll offer them support to develop relationships with new and existing brokers and ensure that the loan quality and risk management around each relationship meets Macquarie's expectations, policies and procedures. You'll also provide professional guidance to brokers, educating and improving performance and customer experience.
As a Leader you will actively maintain an awareness of the product offerings and pricing information of competitors, to understand Macquarie's competitiveness and participate in strategic projects, stakeholder engagement and support key priorities within the business. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate and work across the Personal Banking leadership team to create an inclusive and psychologically safe working environment.
**What you offer**
- A demonstrated sales track record, in a Personal Banking or Mortgage focused business development related role, with previous experience managing a team of sales professionals
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to motivate a team, communicate expectations, and develop team capability
- Ability to build relationships and have established relationships in Australia's home loan broker market, including with Aggregators at their State Manager level
- Proven experience delivering an exceptional level of broker partnering,
- Ability to identify and drive data-based decisions to and experience in driving change through agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to large audiences
- A growth and learning mindset, a desire to challenge traditional thinking and an appetite to embrace change.
