In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with the Principal to lead and promote the Catholic identity and mission of the school, provide professional leadership for the development and nurturing of the Catholic tradition and Religious Life of the school, and coordinate the planning, delivery and assessment of Religious Education across all year levels. As a visible faith leader you will inspire confidence, enthusiasm and optimism in others, foster a culture where students are encouraged to live with curiosity, compassion and integrity, and build an inclusive and trusting school community with staff, families and parish partners.
The Assistant Principal – Religious Education plays an integral role in supporting the Principal to manage daily operations of the school in line with Catholic Education policies and frameworks, demonstrating a deep commitment to the Catholic faith as both a spiritual and instructional leader who champions quality learning, wellbeing and faith formation.
Responsibilities
* Lead and promote the Catholic identity and mission of the school.
* Develop and nurture the Catholic tradition and Religious Life of the school.
* Coordinate the planning, delivery and assessment of Religious Education across all year levels.
* Provide coaching, mentorship and professional guidance to staff.
* Support the Principal in managing daily school operations in line with Catholic Education policies and frameworks.
* Cultivate productive and supportive relationships with staff, families and parish partners.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Faith Education, Theology or Christian Leadership.
* Significant experience in teaching and/or leading religious education.
* Demonstrated commitment to the Catholic faith and values.
* Leadership experience in a secondary education setting.
* Strong emotional intelligence and reflective practice.
* Ability to work effectively in a school community and with parish partners.
