We're looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to be the star of our kitchens where smiles are just as important as the meals we serve.
What you will be doing
* Prepare, cook, and serve dishes with flair and precision
* Support the Head Chef and step up when required
* Maintain HACCP standards and kitchen compliance
* Keep equipment in top condition
* Plan daily prep lists for efficient service
* Ensure OH&S compliance and safe practices
* Mentor and induct new staff
* Contribute to team meetings and uphold our Code of Conduct
Desired Skills
* Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a hotel, restaurant, catering company or similar role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
* Certificate or diploma in hospitality management or a related field is an advantage
* Proven experience working in large hotels or multi-function catering venues.
* Intermediate Microsoft 365 skills,
Conditions of Employment
* National Police Clearance.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Annual flu (influenza) vaccine.
* All COVID vaccinations to ensure the ability to work within aged care.
* Valid driver's licence.
