Overview

Safetech is an award-winning company with modern manufacturing facilities in Moe and Morwell and offices in capital cities around Australia. Safetech designs and manufactures hoists, EWP's, dock equipment, scissor lifts, cranes and lifting devices for the Australian and international markets. The company employs around 210 people Australia wide and is supported by strong sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams. We have a career opening for an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join the team at our Moe facility.


Responsibilities

* Mentoring, training, communicating and supervising production staff whilst working across a diverse and varying product group.
* Lead the assembly team to safely achieve customer delivery dates to the expected quality.
* Communicate with various departments within the business to ensure correct information is obtained to reach the desired product outcome.
* Conduct regular toolbox meetings, regularly communicate with workshop team members, attend production meetings, and participate in error diagnosis meetings.
* Responsible for ensuring all items are assembled correctly and the QA process is adhered.
* Assist Operations Manager with updating site scheduling, reporting, and actioning schedule obstacles.
* Develop and assist workshop procedures and ensure adherence.
* Ensure workshop housekeeping standards are developed and maintained.


Skills & Experience

* High level attention to detail, and a process driven mindset.
* Ability to interpret technical workshop drawings.
* Driver's license.
* Dogmen, Rigging - High Risk License - DG, RB or RI - would be an advantage.
* Qualified Fitter (Cert 3 Engineering – Mechanical trade) preferred.
* Commitment to safe work processes.
* Positive and can-do team player who is keen to develop their career.
