About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned planning expert to lead and contribute to the delivery of high-impact land use planning projects, primarily for public sector clients.
The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise and proven skills to support clients by offering sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice and insights.
* Develop and implement comprehensive land use planning strategies, including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies and supporting technical inputs.
* Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities and stakeholder needs.
* Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in the fields of economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning and stakeholder engagement.
* Prepare and review reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
* Mentor and develop individuals within the team, as appropriate.
About You
You will hold tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years' experience within an Urban Planning role is ideal.
Strong knowledge of strategic planning and related legislation is essential, preferably gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment.
A proficient appreciation and understanding of strategic policies, processes and influences is required.
You will also have a proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
