The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join a growing and well-established consultancy team. This position offers the flexibility to work full-time from home, while still being involved in high-profile projects across Australia. Although the role is fully remote, candidates must be based in Sydney to attend occasional client meetings and site inspections. You will play a key role in the delivery of hydraulic and fire services design across a diverse range of projects, working alongside experienced engineers within a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Design and documentation of hydraulic services Delivery of concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction phase services Hydraulic services design including: Cold and hot water systems Sanitary drainage and trade waste Stormwater systems Preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, and authority submissions Ensure compliance with NCC (BCA), relevant Australian Standards, and local authority requirements Coordinate with mechanical, fire, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines Liaise with clients, contractors, builders, and approval authorities Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project delivery outcomes Skills & Experience Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Australian building services industry Proven experience in hydraulic services engineering Consultancy experience within building services highly regarded Strong understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant codes Experience delivering commercial and residential Class 2 projects Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment Strong problem-solving and project coordination capabilities What’s on Offer Competitive salary package based on experience Full-time work-from-home flexibility Exposure to high-quality and technically challenging projects Supportive and collaborative team culture Clear career progression opportunities Ongoing mentoring and professional development Opportunity to work autonomously with strong leadership support Apply Now If you are interested in this opportunity and believe you have the right skills and experience, please click APPLY.
