Maltem Australia is currently seeking a Business & Application Support Analyst for our Client in the Energy business.
The incumbent will work in the ANZ IS team, which aims to build and maintain a top-class IS environment to support the development of trading, origination, and risk management activities in ANZ.
Our client’s main project for the next year will be to migrate from the current IS ecosystem (Oracle database, PHP user interface, 150 Excel spreadsheets) to the standard Trading ecosystem provided by European teams (Orchestrade & various in-house developments for Accounting, Curve Building, Invoicing).
The candidate should be able to dig into the current Oracle procedures and VBA Excel, extract the use cases in collaboration with the business, and define the target for each of them.
Development of the IS roadmap :
* Participate in the vision on IS systems with the business.
* Provide a path between the as-is IS situation and the co-constructed vision.
* Provide transformation roadmaps and ensure follow-up and communication with stakeholders.
* Play an active role in preparing new releases integration (training, testing, enriching procedures, monitoring).
Delivery :
* Collect functional requirements and actively participate in writing & enhancing operational procedures.
* Analyze stored procedures, views, and VBA tools, and plan for their evolution, parallel run, and eventual decommissioning with a new set of tools / reports.
* Engage in cross-location collaboration, especially with Singapore and occasionally with Paris / Brussels for information sharing and aligning with central processes.
* Write functional specifications for the Development Team.
* Process local user support requests (configurations, assistance).
* Process incidents (analyze, solve, document).
* Coordinate incident resolution with any other IT team when necessary (Paris / Brussels Application Teams, IS infrastructure).
* Monitor the IT platform and execute the associated actions when alerts are raised.
* Analyze existing Excel VBA tools and Oracle database procedures.
* Train users and newcomers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
* Experience in IT within the Electricity, Gas, and Financial Markets.
* Experience as a Business Analyst on Front to Back Systems.
* Basic knowledge of Oracle stored procedures, SQL, and VBA.
* Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., PowerBI) is an added plus.
