We are currently seeking a Trades Assistant to provide support and assistance to our tradespersons in the mechanical repair and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant equipment.
This role will be based out of our Kalgoorlie Service Centre, working Monday to Friday (10 hour days).
Key Responsibilities
* General housekeeping and cleaning of the workshop
* Assistance to tradespeople including Diesel Fitters, LV Fitters, Boilermakers, Electricians and Auto Electricians
* Machine cleaning, including high-pressure washing
* Running parts and supplies between the work site and the workshop
* Providing support to maximise the availability of plant and equipment through efficient, on-time cost-effective maintenance and repair
* Attending and contributing to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required
* Completing all pre-start checks prior to use of equipment
* Conducting Take 5's and JSA's when required
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience as a TA or Labourer
* Mechanical aptitude
* The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
* Good communication skills, both verbally and written
* A positive work ethic and attitude, upholding the company's principles of safety first
