We are currently seeking a Plant Mechanic to service our site in Somersby, NSW.
We have a fleet of vehicles consisting of Rigid Trucks, Prime Movers, Trailers, Forklifts, and Construction and Plant equipment which we service on-site and in our in-house workshops.The successful applicant will be provided with an equipped service vehicle and will be required to travel between our Company sites in Sydney which include St Marys, Ingleburn, Wetherill Park, and Vineyard.The Scope of work we are exposed to:Basic and major servicingPreventative maintenanceAccident damage and repairsForklift service and repairsScissor lift and Boom lift service and repairsWelding, machining and fabricationAuto electrical and Air conditioningHydrostatic drives, Hydraulic circuits and componentsSome of the brands of machinery we work on:Volvo, Mack, Isuzu, UD and Hino TrucksKomatsu, Liebherr, Sennebogen, Volvo, CAT, Terex and BobcatVawdrey, Barker and Freighter trailersLinde, Toyota, Crown and Komatsu forkliftsGenie and JLG scissor lifts and boom liftsHammel, Komtech and Peterson GrindersIn this role you will be responsible for:All servicing and repairs to the company's fleet, including plant, trucks, forklifts and company carsCarrying out all repairs and maintenance (including completion of all paperwork) in a timely and professional mannerOccasional attendance at side-of-road breakdown jobs requiring repair/serviceThe successful applicant will have:A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel, Plant or Auto-Electrician MechanicA current MR Truck LicenceDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesA strong work ethicThis is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work for a growing and dynamic company with long-term career opportunities.As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.
