About the Division
The People Strategy and Operations (VPS) Division is responsible for the department's human resources policies and services for the department's Victorian Public Service (VPS) workforce. It provides end-to-end people services, strategic workplace relations advice and support, employee learning and inclusion programs and support, workforce data analytics and strategic planning, and manages corporate office working places and environmental sustainability.
About the Role
This role is responsible for leading the department's VPS workforce analytics team which provides expert technical data analysis and insights to deliver vital workforce reporting and shape the department's VPS workforce strategy. The incumbent will utilise their strong technical, analytical, and conceptual skills to lead this work. They will also have strong people and stakeholder management skills which they will draw on to manage the team and engage with stakeholders across the department.
About you
To thrive in this role you will possess:
* Demonstrated strong technical data analytics skills and relevant experience in delivering workforce data and insights
* Demonstrated strong conceptual and analytical skills
* Superior written and verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills
* Be well organised and able to work to often tight deadlines and with competing priorities
* A relevant tertiary qualification in data science/data analytics is preferred
