Are you an experienced Fire Estimator looking to work with reputable contractors who value quality, compliance, and long-term relationships? About the Role:
You'll be responsible for estimating wet and/or dry fire systems-including hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels, detection systems, EWIS, and alarm. This includes projects, system alterations, upgrades, and AFSS-related works. You'll work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to scope and price projects accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for wet and/or dry fire protection systems
* Review existing systems and ensure compliance with AS standards and AFSS requirements
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to align on scope and delivery
* Interpret technical drawings and produce block plans for documentation
* Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining compliance
* Provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience estimating wet and/or dry fire systems (hydrants, sprinklers, FHR, detection, EWIS, alarms)
* Strong understanding of AS1851, AS2118, AS2419, AS1670 and NCC/BCA
* Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
* Experience with pricing tools (Excel, Uptick, Procore or similar)
* High attention to detail and strong communication skills
* Team player with a proactive mindset
