The Opportunity
As a Tax Accountant, your role supports UniSuper in meeting its ongoing tax compliance obligations and properly managing its tax reporting in relation to UniSuper and related entities. This role forms part of UniSuper's Tax Team within the broader Corporate Services Business Unit.
The main responsibilities include:
* Support tax compliance obligations for the Fund and related entities, including income tax, GST, FBT, and foreign tax obligations.
* Assist with tax provision reporting and general tax matters, including projects and special purpose investment vehicles.
* Work closely with stakeholders across UniSuper's business units, the Fund's Custodian, and external tax advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and successful delivery of tax obligations.
* Contribute to the Tax Team's performance and continual improvement, monitor developments in tax legislation, and help develop effective tax policies and systems.

About You
* Bachelor degree or above and either Chartered Accountant (CA) / Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) qualified preferred
* 2 to 3 years' experience in a superannuation fund, funds management or financial services organisation with general tax and/or fund accounting experience
* General investments tax knowledge
* Passion for superannuation and the positive impact it has on members' retirement outcomes
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
