Job Summary
:
Supervise the delivery of the project to ensure the project is delivered to scope, quality, time and budget within the Business’ objectives for Safety, Security and Environmental standards.
Major Responsibilities:
- Actively ensure contractors are complying with safety requirements and encourage contractors to perform their work in a safe manner.
- Actively interface with the assigned area's Engineering, Construction Interface, Health and Safety, Environment and Sustainability, Community, Workplace Relations, Contract Management and other relevant teams to ensure package/project delivery priorities are maintained.
- Review all contractor submittals including construction schedules, costs, reports, changes and trends as required, monitors field activities and coordinates technical oversight.
- Review design documents, change orders, material requisitions, requests for information and specifications for construction associated with the contractor’s scope of works.
- Review the flow of information required from third party companies or contractors to facilitate the timely progress of the engineering work.
- Review field engineering progress, quality records and quantity verification against approved schedules, evaluate changes and advise corrective action when required.
- Communicate technical issues and recommend solutions as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
- High Voltage (HV) switching and confined space certification
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 3–5+ years in electrical engineering
Hands-on involvement in: Lighting systems
Constant current regulators (CCR)
PAPI, ILS, and approach lighting systems
Familiarity with CASA MOS Part 139, ICAO Annex 14, and AGL maintenance standards
Experience working in live environments, including night shifts and staged works Ability to interpret layout drawings, circuit schematics, and as-built documentation
Proficiency in fault-finding, loop testing, and photometric compliance
Strong understanding of electrical safety, earthing systems, and lightning protection
Excellent communication for coordinating with authorities and contractors
Working knowledge of Australian Standards, specifications and codes.
