OverviewShopSense Promotions provides commercial Christmas decorations and displays for shopping centres.
The company operates throughout Melbourne and Victoria with a dedicated team of full time and casual staff during the busier months.
We are looking for energetic & motivated staff as Decorators, Onsite Installers and EWP Operators to join our team to bring Christmas to life!
ResponsibilitiesAssist with installation of Christmas displays throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.Assist with dismantling displays in late December to late January.Participate in pre-installation product preparation from early September to late October.Work installation shifts that start in the afternoon (e.g., 3:00 pm) and can extend into the night, up to 10 hours per shift as required.Meet at the warehouse in Carrum Downs or travel to job sites; reasonable travel time to sites will be paid at the standard hourly rate.Receive pay above Award rates.Skills and ExperienceExperience in installing events, displays, or visual merchandise is preferred but not essential.Past experience in installing commercial decorations is advantageous.Training will be provided; casual staff will work with an experienced crew.Adherence to HR policies and Safety Workplace Standards is required.Australian work rights are mandatory for this position.Specific skills such as EWP and/or Boom license are an advantage but not required for all staff.Personal AttributesHelpful team playersWillingness to learn and take directionCalmness under pressureFlexible and adaptable; able to resolve issues quickly and adapt to changing circumstances to ensure smooth installsPhysical stamina and strength; ability to perform moderate lifting as part of daily dutiesAbility to work as part of a team and use initiative to complete tasksProfessional presentationAbility to work to installation timelinesHow to ApplyPlease register your interest as soon as possible and no later than 15 October 2024.
