About The Role
As a HSE Advisor, you will have the responsibility for providing specialist advice and solutions on matters concerning health, safety and environment (HSE) and ensuring Operational compliance. You will be required to undertake travel to our trade store network throughout VIC, TAS and SA as well as our Port Melbourne Manufacturing Plant and offices.
Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation of the HSE plan across VIC/TAS/SA and identify safety opportunities and initiatives
* Coaching and mentoring managers and leaders to fulfil the requirements of the HSE plan
* Provide functional advice and direction on HSE matters
* Assist and manage compliance with the Safety Management System and performance indicators
* Provide insights from statistical data and provide advice on remedial activity and submit monthly reporting to the National HSE Manager
* Facilitate and participate in high level investigations and risk assessment activities
* Facilitate training on HSE matters as well as safety committees and their initiatives
* Monitor HSE compliance via audits and plans
* Participating as part of the site leadership team
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Prior experience within the Manufacturing Industry is preferred
* 3-5 years' experience in a safety role
* High level experience with Microsoft Suite
* ICAM is highly regarded
* Experience in a unionised environment would be an advantage
* Ability to work from the Port Melbourne office full time – This is not a Work from Home Role
* Ability to undertake extensive interstate and intrastate travel (VIC/TAS/SA)
