The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Clinical Network consists of the following Health Practitioner professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology, and Social Work as well as the following supporting professions - Allied Health Assistants and Administration Officers. In addition to the generalist services provided, the Allied Health professions provide two targeted service areas, namely developmental paediatrics, and cancer care.
About the role
The Allied Health Network Manager is a member of the Gladstone and Banana Senior Leadership Team and Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service Allied Health Clinical Council providing the following main responsibilities:
Key responsibilities
* Line management and strategic leadership to Health Practitioners and associated support staff for the following Health Practitioner professions of the Gladstone and Banana Clinical Network (Business Unit): Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work.
* Operationally manage effective, efficient, and safe Allied Health services across the Gladstone and Banana Clinical Network, ensuring Allied Health staffing models and skill mix are contemporary and in line with facility, role delineation and function.
About you
* A Degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics or Social Work (or equivalent) is mandatory.
* Registration with the appropriate Allied Health registration authority or in the case of Social Workers, Speech Pathologists or Dieticians, eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) or Dieticians Association of Australia (DAA) is mandatory for this position.
* While not mandatory, possession or progression towards a management qualification would be highly regarded.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
