Student Business Services
Provides administrative support to core university functions including admissions, credit assessments, timetabling, enrolments, student finance, scholarships, progressions, graduations, and student systems.
* Develop and oversee student systems and processes to deliver core student administrative services that improve the student and staff experience, including admissions, credit transfer, and pathway programs, and UniSC's Higher Education Participation and Partnerships funded projects.
* Centrally schedule examinations and the academic progression and graduation of students.
* Set, collect and monitor student fees and scholarships.
* Collaborate with academic and professional staff to ensure a positive student experience and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
* Proven experience in a customer‐focused role, ideally in higher education.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at a range of levels.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn and use other administrative software and databases.
* Strong problem‐solving skills to manage priorities effectively.
* Attention to detail and effective organisational skills, including ability to meet deadlines within set timeframes and efficiently handle multiple tasks.
Student Experience
Provides university‐wide, multi‐channel student enquiry management, delivers student engagement campaigns, and administers current student communications and orientation coordination for the university. The business improvement team manages student systems and works to enhance processes and student development through data evaluation and analysis.
* Efficiently manage student enquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing timely and accurate information.
* Support student engagement by sharing relevant resources and referring students to appropriate services.
* Accurately maintain student records using CRM tools, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
* Proven experience in a customer‐focused role, ideally in higher education.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and support a diverse student population.
* High proficiency with CRM systems and digital tools for record management.
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and maintain confidentiality.
* Reliable, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
* Quick to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
* Strong problem‐solving skills to manage priorities effectively.
Student Engagement, Success and Wellbeing
Provides services that promote student learning, development and success including employability and careers advice, students as partners activities, academic skills development, student success advising, and wellbeing services, including counselling, safer communities and learning access and disability advising.
* Provide proactive and personalised advising, including academic skills, career advice and student success support to students.
* Provide a suite of student wellbeing services including counselling and psychological services, AccessAbility Services, and Safer Communities.
* Develop and implement programmes and activities that assist student connections, partnerships and a sense of belonging.
* Assist students in understanding and accessing university policies, procedures, and resources.
* Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to enhance the overall student experience.
* Qualifications appropriate for the nature of the service provided.
* Experience in student engagement and support.
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and maintain confidentiality.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
* Excellent organisational and time‐management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Proficiency in using information systems and other relevant tools.
* A proactive and empathetic approach with a solution‐focused mindset.
