The Role
As the Maintenance Services Officer, you will undertake a range of duties relating to fleet maintenance at Joint Logistics Unit-North. Working within established priorities, principles, methodology and work practices you will be required to provide administrative support to Military, Civilian and Industry Partner maintenance staff. Your job will include work order administration requiring the input of accurate data, Trade Repair purchasing, tax invoice receipting, reconciliation, filing documents and providing assistance with governance checks over procurement and maintenance activities.
About our Team
Joint Logistics Unit-North provides logistics support to Australian Defence Force elements operating across the Northern Territory and Kimberley region, as well as coalition forces engaged in activities in Northern Australia. Logistics support consists of maintenance, warehousing, distribution, regional procurement, and loan pool services.
The Maintenance Services section is a mixed workforce that is largely responsible for all aspects of maintenance and servicing of Defence specific equipment.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, able to liaise effectively and consult with a wide cross section of military and civilian personnel, and industry partners.
* Ability to perform work tasks that require a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Trusted to work under limited direction and supervision, managing their own workload- Sound time management skills, including the ability to prioritise a changing workload whilst still meeting deadlines, including response to short notice requirements.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) essential.

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Negative Vetting Level 1".
