Full time, Continuing position Based at La Trobe University's Bendigo campus Level C Teaching and research focused Classification Work with inspiring people who are driven to make a difference About the position The Biomedical Science discipline offers undergraduate degrees that prepare students to become registered pharmacists, enter the broader biomedical workforce, progress into medicine through our partnership with the University of Melbourne, or undertake research training via our Honours programs.
The discipline also supports our major partnership with PSB Academy in Singapore, where we deliver teaching to around 1,000 offshore students.
We are seeking an individual to make an important contribution to our teaching experience through high-quality active learning and clear review of curriculum as we seek to further improve on our graduate outcomes and advancement of health and science in regional communities.
A Level C academic is expected to develop curriculum, teach and/or undertake research and/or other scholarly work relevant to the discipline of Biomedical Sciences.
An academic at this level will make a significant contribution to the discipline of Biomedical Science at the national level.
They will normally play a major role or provide a significant degree of leadership in scholarly, and/or professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline.
Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have; Completion of a PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
Demonstrated effectiveness in curriculum development and teaching with a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Demonstrated ability to influence the teaching practice of others.
Strong record of research publication, with appropriate evidence of quality and impact.
Skills in the preparation for Higher Education teaching defined by evidence of a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education or evidence of equivalent professional preparation for Higher Education teaching (e.g. FHEA).
