Claims Officer Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Claims Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the claims process, assessing policy coverage, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and industry standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Efficiently manage the claims process to ensure accurate and timely claim resolution.
* Assess policy coverage and escalate issues as needed to ensure fair outcomes.
* Build strong relationships with clients, brokers, investigators, and other key stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and industry standards.
* Handle recoveries from third parties to maximise claim outcomes.
* Conduct self-audits of claims files to maintain high internal audit standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Prior experience in Property Damage & Liability Claims, preferably within the insurance industry.
* Basic knowledge of the insurance industry and claims processes.
* Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and participate in alternative dispute resolution.
