The Role
We are seeking a reliable, practical Technical Assistant to support our operations in a warehouse‐focused, part‐time role (3 day week). This position is well suited to a mature‐aged applicant or someone looking for steady, ongoing work in a hands‐on environment without full‐time hours.
The role is primarily based in our warehouse and workshop, with minimal on‐site work and no requirement for trade licensing.
Key Responsibilities
* Warehouse and stores operations, including:
o Receiving deliveries and checking goods
o Stock control and basic inventory management
o Job kitting and preparation of equipment for technicians
* Assembly and preparation of low‐voltage equipment and components
* Light manufacturing and bench work related to nurse call and security systems
* Labelling, testing, and packaging of equipment
* Maintaining a tidy, safe, and organised warehouse and workshop
* Assisting technicians as required with preparation and returns
About You
You are dependable, methodical, and comfortable working in a warehouse or workshop environment. Prior experience in low‐voltage or technical work is beneficial, but equally important is a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Essential Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, workshop, or technical assistant role - minimum 2 years' experience
* Exposure to low‐voltage systems (security, nurse call, data) is advantageous
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency
Skills & Attributes
* Practical and mechanically minded
* Organised and reliable
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Comfortable with repetitive tasks and manual handling
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn basic system assembly and testing processes
Licences & Certifications
* Current Driver's Licence
* Construction Industry Safety Card (White Card) - may be obtained once commenced
* National Police Certificate
* Evidence of vaccination or non‐susceptibility to the six vaccine‐preventable diseases required by Queensland Health
* COVID‐19 and Influenza A vaccination
