Intro
Want to break into tech sales without being left to figure it out alone? At Qirx in Mitchell, Canberra, you’ll learn in a supportive team that wants you to do your best and enjoy the work along the way.
This role offers a salary in the range of $80k -110k plus OTE.
What You’ll Actually Do
· Learn how to look after a small group of clients, becoming their main day‑to‑day contact for IT questions and opportunities.
· Support a Senior Account Manager with follow‑ups, quotes, proposals and CRM updates while you learn how the whole sales journey works from first conversation to signed solution.
· Help identify new potential customers through research, networking and outreach, then book and prepare for meetings.
· Work with pre‑sales, technical and marketing teammates to turn customer problems into practical solutions using software, hardware, cloud, cybersecurity and services.
· Stay curious about new tech, industry trends and competitor offerings so you can talk to clients in simple, human language – not jargon – and help them move quickly and confidently.
You don’t need to be a tech guru – we’ll teach you what you need to know; your curiosity and people skills matter more.
You Might Be Our Person If…
· You’re early in your career (or changing careers) and like the idea of relationship‑based selling more than pushy tactics.
· Listening, asking good questions and following through are some of your quiet superpowers.
· You’re motivated by clear goals, honest feedback and celebrating team wins together.
· Tech doesn’t scare you – you’re comfortable learning about software, cloud or cybersecurity and explaining it to non‑technical people.
· You’re organised enough to keep your notes, calendar and CRM tidy, even on busy days.
If you’ve done any kind of customer‑facing work or study in business, IT or a related area, great – but we care more about your attitude and willingness to learn than a perfect background.
Why Qirx Is Different
At Qirx, we’re consumer‑obsessed and serious about innovation, change, excellence, trust and speed – and we balance that with a genuinely caring, nurturing environment. You’ll work with people who respect clients, value long‑term partnerships and care about quality outcomes, not just numbers.
You’ll learn from experienced sales and technical teammates, be involved in live client meetings and proposals, and gradually take on more responsibility with clear guidance as you grow. If you’re looking for a launch‑pad role where you’re backed as a human first and a sales number second, we’d love to hear from you.
