About the Role
As a 1st Year Carpentry Apprentice, you will work alongside qualified carpenters to gain hands‐on experience across a range of residential construction projects. You will be enrolled in and committed to completing a Certificate III in Carpentry while developing practical, on‐site skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist qualified carpenters with framing, pre sheet, fix‐outs, and general carpentry tasks
* Safely operate hand and power tools under supervision
* Measure, cut, and assemble building materials
* Load and unload materials and maintain organised worksites
* Follow all workplace health and safety requirements
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
* Work effectively within a team to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
* White Card (Construction Induction Card)
* Silica Awareness Certification
* Asbestos Awareness Certification
* Genuine interest in carpentry and residential construction
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Reliable, punctual, and well‐presented
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
