About the Role
As a Manager / Senior Manager you will take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while playing a key role in mentoring staff, supporting business growth and contributing to the strategic direction of the firm.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
* Managing BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax obligations
* Providing proactive business and tax advisory services
* Reviewing work and mentoring junior team members
* Building strong, long term client relationships
* Supporting workflow management and team development
* Working across a broad client base including agriculture, trades, medical, hospitality, retail and professional services

About You
You are an experienced public practice accountant who is ready to step into a leadership role and is motivated by the opportunity to grow into a future ownership position over time.
You will bring:
* Strong experience in public practice accounting
* Solid technical knowledge of Australian taxation
* Degree qualifications with CPA or CA completed
* The ability to build and manage client relationships with confidence
* Leadership capability and experience mentoring staff
* Strong communication and advisory skills
* Experience with Xero, MYOB, FYI Docs or similar systems
* A long term mindset and genuine interest in progressing your career within a Ballarat based firm
