**Beachfront Culinary Expert Wanted**
Job Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Chef to join our team at a picturesque beachfront location in Queensland. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valued members and guests.
Your primary duties will include preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items, and ensuring all food preparation and cooking adheres to health and safety standards.
In addition, you will be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, mentor and supervise junior kitchen staff, and contribute to the overall success and positive reputation of the venue.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Culinary Expertise: We require relevant formal culinary qualifications or equivalent industry experience. A Certificate III or higher in commercial cookery or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Leadership and Teamwork: You must have proven expertise in a similar Chef or sous chef role, ideally within the hospitality and tourism industry. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Chef or sous chef position is required.
Cooking Skills: Exceptional cooking skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes are essential.
Communication and Adaptability: Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary, as well as the ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards is crucial.
