Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group's relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors. It provides a full range of capital raising, transactional, and risk management products and services.

IB&M Finance supports the business by providing financial control, analysis, product control, regulatory accounting, and related project and strategy implementation support.

The IB&M Expense and Project Reporting team handles matters related to operating expenses and projects, including management, control, forecasting, and reporting. The team also offers strategic support by managing project-related expense drivers for the IB&M Leadership Team, IB&M CFO, and the broader business.


Do work that matters

The role reports to the Manager of IB&M Expense and PACE Reporting and involves regular interactions with:

* IB&M Business Unit Finance, Decision Support, and Financial Control
* Technology Finance
* Operations Finance
* Group Finance
* IB&M Business
* Crew Leads

This role's impact includes, but is not limited to:

* Providing robust management reporting based on strong financial controls
* Working with senior stakeholders to provide decision support and actionable insights
* Representing finance in key interactions with the business and project teams
* Developing strong, trust-based relationships across the Group


We're interested in hearing from people who will aspire to:

* Prepare and deliver key financial processes, including month-end close and reporting
* Support the Operating Expenses team with deliverables to Group and other BU stakeholders
* Partner with IB&M HO, NFRC, and GEMR business areas within IB&M
* Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
* Report on PACE crews' performance and support QBRs
* Assist the business with ad hoc financial analysis and decision support
* Identify efficiency initiatives in reporting, forecasting, and analysis using Group data tools
* Maintain strong financial controls over project spend on the Balance Sheet


Other qualities you may possess include:

* Commitment to customer service and quality outcomes
* Good commercial acumen
* Experience in stakeholder management
* Financial modelling skills
* Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, or other analytical tools
* Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
* Initiative and proactive approach
* Attention to detail and ability to distill key messages and insights
