With active projects, growing client demand, and a strong strategic focus on WA‑led operations, we are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager – Traffic Management to lead, develop, and grow this division.
This is a critical leadership role requiring current, hands‑on Traffic Management experience in Western Australia, including knowledge of Main Roads WA requirements, TMP/TCP implementation, accreditation frameworks, and operational compliance.

The Opportunity
As the Operations Manager (Traffic Management), you will:
Lead and Build the Business
Establish, grow, and manage the Traffic Management division in Western Australia.
Identify contract and tender opportunities across government, civil, industrial, and defence sectors.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, including councils, Tier 1 contractors, and project managers.
Ensure Operational Excellence
Oversee day‑to‑day traffic management operations, resource planning, and staffing.
Implement and evaluate Traffic Management Plans in accordance with WA requirements (TMP, TCD, DTMP).
Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA accreditation and safety standards.
Verify qualifications of traffic personnel and ensure all staff meet accreditation and competency requirements
Drive Safety, Quality & Compliance
Maintain rigorous operational and safety standards aligned to HRMS' quality systems and audit processes.
Support external and internal audits, VOC processes, and continuous improvement activities.
Respond to operational changes, onsite variations, and contingencies.
Support Growth & Strategic Alignment
Work closely with senior leadership to develop strategy, pricing, and tender submissions.
Assist in preparing project documentation and operational readiness for upcoming contracts
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Current experience working in the Traffic Management sector in WA (minimum 3 years).
* Strong understanding of Main Roads WA requirements, TMP/TCPs, and on‑site traffic control operations.
* Current WA Traffic Management accreditations (e.g., BWTM, AWTM, Worksite Traffic Management).
* Demonstrated operational leadership within fast‑pace environments.
* Experience coordinating teams, resources, rosters, and project requirements.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Strong safety and compliance mindset.
Highly Desirable:
* Experience in civil construction, road safety, or high‑risk industrial environments
* Understanding of Defence‑related operational environments (advantage but not essential).
* Exposure to business development, tendering or contract acquisition.
