As we scale, we're seeking an experienced
Senior Business Development Manager
to own and grow our wholesale footprint across independent boutiques, premium lifestyle stores, department stores, and larger chain retailers in Australia and key international markets.
Your Mission
To lead the strategic growth of our wholesale channel nationally and internationally — building, nurturing and expanding retailer relationships across multiple tiers. This is an opportunity to shape the future of Recreation Beauty's retail presence from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a wholesale growth strategy in line with brand goals
* Identify, pitch and close new wholesale partnerships — from boutiques to major department stores
* Manage and nurture existing wholesale accounts, driving reorder velocity and in-store sell-through
* Build a robust pipeline of new opportunities across Australia, NZ, and key export markets
* Own the full sales cycle: outreach, presentation, negotiation, onboarding, and account support
* Represent the brand at key industry events and trade shows
* Provide strategic input on pricing, packaging, and wholesale marketing initiatives
* Maintain accurate CRM records and report regularly on sales KPIs and revenue targets
What You Bring
* 5+ years
experience in a BDM, Account Manager or Wholesale Sales role in
beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or wellness
* Proven ability to win and grow business across
independent retailers, chain stores, and department stores
* Strong understanding of the retail landscape in Australia and/or international markets
* Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially minded
* A natural relationship-builder with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
* Able to work autonomously and bring a founder's mindset to your sales approach
* Bonus: you already have buyer relationships in beauty/lifestyle retail
Package
* $100,000 base salary + uncapped commission
* OTE: $150,000+
* Commission paid monthly on new and repeat orders from acquired wholesale accounts for a period of 24 months from the date of first order, provided the employee remains employed during that time
