Albany Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Albany PS has a strong culture of classroom observation, coaching and collaborative teams to achieve high standards in both individual and whole school performances. Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate commitment to these practices, ongoing professional development, and the school Business Plan.
The learning environment created will be engaging, challenging, caring, and catering for a range of needs to ensure all students make progress. Effective behaviour management strategies are used to establish and maintain an organised, orderly and learning-focused classroom. Albany PS is a Positive Behaviour Support School (PBS) and this is reflected across the whole school.

The Role
Albany PS are looking for committed, passionate teachers to join our collaborative and dedicated team of professionals. Suitable applicants will ideally possess a strong knowledge of highly effective teaching strategies, specifically in explicit direct instruction, as well as the ability to understand and use student and whole school performance data effectively to inform planning and differentiation across all year levels.

As a teacher at our school, you will ideally have a passion for explicit teaching. Albany PS has developed a whole school instructional model based upon Explicit Direct Instruction and this is being incorporated across English and Mathematics. A key part of this model is the use of Daily Review. Applicants should ideally be able to demonstrate proficiency in this area and be supportive of whole school instructional strategies.
Applicants should have highly developed organisation and interpersonal skills, have a clearly demonstrated focus upon student achievement and be committed to working as a part of a collaborative team.
Applicants are encouraged to read the information in the Business Plan attached at the top of the advert thoroughly prior to starting their application. Additionally, familiarity with, Initialit (P-2), PLD, Literacy (3-6) and Origo Maths would be advantageous.
