About the Role
We are lucky to have another vacancy arise within our Student Support team and are looking for a compassionate and committed teacher aide (Student Support Assistant) to join us at our Hamilton Campus in Eureka.
This role is a fixed term contract on a part-time basis starting Term 4, October 2025 until December 2026 (30 hours per week, term time only). The role is reviewed annually, with the possibility of a new fixed-term contract offered for each school year.
Hours: 8:30am - 3pm, Monday - Friday
- Promote and Support the ongoing development of high need students
- Contribute to building a positive team environment
- Attend and provide feedback for students, staff and families

Skills And Experience
- Experience supporting younger students with learning challenges and high health needs.
- Experience applying effective strategies and opportunities for learning.
- An understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and of different learning methods.
- A good level of digital competency.
- Ability to cater for a student’s varying needs, including implementation of strategies to support development of communication and learning.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Patience, resilience, adaptability and empathy.
You Will Need
- Eligibility to work in NZ
- Able to provide 2 verbal references
- Able to pass a Police Check
