Occupational Therapist Role Summary
This occupational therapy position involves delivering life-changing support to NDIS participants aged 10-24, enabling them to navigate life with a disability through early adulthood.
Main Responsibilities:
* Work in diverse settings: homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces and community centers.
* Utilize evidence-based measurement tools and assessment skills to develop tailored therapy plans and deliver occupational therapy that helps participants achieve their goals and maximize NDIS funding.
* Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of allied health professionals.
* Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
* Attend regular team meetings at the hub, sharing stories of impact.
* Draw upon the knowledge and support of the Team Leader and a dedicated Therapy Mentor.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
* General AHPRA Registration.
* Positive and flexible approach to work.
* Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
* Commitment to personal and professional development.
* Valid driver's license.
* NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
* Experience in NDIS or disability settings preferred but not essential.
