You will need to be familiar with managing large amounts of high-frequency data using various data software/coding packages.

Accountabilities:
Revenue Analysis - Bidding, Contracting and Trading Strategies:

- Analyse market data to identify anomalies in bidding for wind, solar and storage assets across the Tilt Renewables portfolio
- Automating reports of high frequency trading data and generating insightful reports for Operations team to optimise assets and bidding practices
- Provide input to the company's Trading Strategy, including making recommendations to the company's Dispatch Offer Pricing Strategy and regular analytical assessment of each asset's dispatch offer (pricing).
- Support secondary market hedging to optimise revenue and risk, including contracting LGC, electricity and weather derivatives under the Revenue Risk Management Policy on exchange (i.e. ASX) and Over-The-Counter markets.
- Assist the Head of Customer and Energy Markets to develop and maintain relationships with potential offtake customers of current and future renewable projects.
- Assist the HoCEM and MMO to develop an inhouse view of spot price outcomes and identifying/assessing hedging products under various pricing scenarios and stress test measures in collaboration with Middle Office.
- Contributed to the develop and implementation of bidding system/strategy for a BESS, considering portfolio optimisation with respect to any other assets and customer load.
- Assist MMO with performance analysis of automated bidding systems/strategies of wind farms and developing battery storage bidding systems/strategies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Assist MMO in analysing historical and forecasting the potential impact of constraints and negative spot prices for reporting and input into budgeting and forecasting processes.

Customer Focus and Product Development:

- Identifying potential customers for Tilt Renewables' existing assets and new development assets
- Supporting HoCEM and MMO to develop and analyse energy, capacity and/or green products for meet customer requirements. Performing economic and risk evaluations of products using established policies, risk and bankability frameworks
- Support the HoCEM, MMO and legal counsel to negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) terms by providing insights from historical market outcomes and future scenario analysis
- Staying abreast of change in market design, actual and proposed regulatory landscape, competitor offerings and product prices
- Developing strong relationships with customers and maintaining a record of customer interactions and current view of energy needs.

Revenue Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Develop and maintain automation tools to produce insightful reports for Tilt Renewables Executive and Revenue Risk Management Committee
- Working with other Operations team (Asset Management, Grid, Data Analytics) to prepare and report against an annual bottom-up generation and revenue budget across the portfolio
- Liaise with independent forecasts to procure long term price forecasts for green product and energy market (including electricity, capacity and ancillary service markets where applicable)
- Maintain internal database of independent electricity and LGC price forecasts
- Analyse forecast and develop upside and downside scenarios for investment decisions on new contracts and greenfield developments
- Integrate latest prices into short and long term contract pricing models
- Working with grid team, liaise with independent forecasts to procure long term loss factor and grid curtailment/congestions forecasts for new and existing assets in the green product and energy market (including electricity, capacity and ancillary service markets where applicable)

Revenue Contract Settlements:

- Assist with revenue settlements reconciliation processes weekly and monthly, liaising with MMO, Asset Management and Finance as necessary, covering AEMO, PPAs, Clean Energy Regulator.
- Assist with Landowner Royalty payments as required
- Working with MMO to further develop and improve settlement systems for settlement calculations and reporting, including adding functionality for bespoke commercial arrangements as required.
- Providing input into new PPA/short term contract terms to make settlement efficient across the portfolio
- Develop and maintain automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy

Education and Experience:

- Minimum graduate level degree in Science/IT (focus on data science)/ Commerce/Economics or Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in commercial/financial/data analytical roles working with energy markets, ideally with experience in renewables.
- Some working knowledge of the National Energy Market or similar wholesale spot market markets with high frequency operational and bidding data.
- Strong skills in Excel including VBA macro-writing, SQL and other database management/coding languages.
