Position: Interim Chief Financial Officer

Duration: Approximately 6 months (potential to extend)
Salary: $200,000 per annum plus 12% super
Overview
Working in partnership with government, industry and the broader community, the organisation plays a key role in driving improved standards, delivering education initiatives and supporting ethical practices nationwide. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to join the organisation during a critical financial period, ensuring continuity of leadership, governance and financial oversight.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forming part of the Executive Management Team, this role will lead a small finance team and provide high-level strategic and operational financial support.
Key responsibilities:
* Overseeing end-of-year financial reporting and quality assurance
* Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes
* Preparing and presenting financial reports to the Board
* Managing cash flow and financial performance
* Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and audit processes
* Identifying and managing organisational financial risks
* Providing strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board
* Engaging with and supporting relevant sub-committees
* Supporting the implementation of a new financial management system
Skills/experience required:
* CA or CPA qualified with experience in senior financial leadership roles
* Strong commercial and business acumen
* Experience contributing to strategic and operational planning
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* High-level interpersonal and negotiation capabilities
* Experience within the not-for-profit sector (highly regarded)
