Illawarra Region Permanent Role $123K Super About the Role: A large government organisation is seeking a Development Analyst to support the assessment and delivery of strategic property and development initiatives across a significant land and asset portfolio. This role focuses on analysing development opportunities, preparing feasibility assessments and supporting major property investment decisions that help unlock the highest and best use of public land and assets. Working within a commercial property team, you will contribute to projects that shape the future development of key precincts while balancing commercial outcomes with broader community objectives. Responsibilities: Play a key role in supporting strategic development initiatives through analysis and commercial advice. Undertake feasibility studies and development economics analysis for property opportunities and assist with the preparation of business cases and investment strategies for development initiatives. Analyse options to retain, redevelop, repurpose or divest assets across a diverse property portfolio and support major precinct and strategic property development projects. Work closely with consultants including valuers, planners, financial modellers and quantity surveyors to assess development opportunities. Assist with the preparation of executive reports, presentations and tender documentation, support negotiations with private sector partners on development opportunities and contribute to long-term property strategy and portfolio planning. Requirements: You will be a commercially minded property professional with strong analytical capability and an interest in strategic property development. Ideally have degree qualifications in property, planning, development, finance or a related discipline along with experience in property development, development analysis, property advisory or investment analysis. Strong capability in feasibility analysis, development economics and financial modelling, along with exposure to large-scale development projects or complex property transactions. Experience working with government, major landowners or public–private partnerships will be highly regarded.
