The Role
We're looking for a warm, organised, and proactive Customer Liaison Officer to join our growing team. This is a dynamic, client-facing role that sits at the heart of everything we do - from first contact with a new lead right through to settlement and beyond.
You'll be the friendly, reliable bridge between our clients and brokers, keeping everything moving smoothly and making sure every client feels supported at every step. You don't need to be a mortgage expert on day one - we'll provide full training. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, stay organised under pressure, and genuinely care about delivering a great experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Lead Management - Contact new leads promptly and professionally to introduce UMA's services
Book and coordinate meetings between clients and UMA brokers
Collect client information and data for the fact finder prior to broker appointments
Manage ongoing client communications via phone, email, and in-person
Loan Application & Documentation Support - Assist brokers in guiding clients through the loan application process
Support clients in signing loan applications and loan contracts
Prepare, organise, and post completed loan documents to the relevant lenders
Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
Client Support Through to Settlement - Keep clients informed and updated throughout the application and settlement process
Coordinate with brokers to resolve queries and manage client expectations
Assist with post-settlement loan reviews and ongoing client check-ins
Reviews & Marketing Support - Proactively reach out to settled clients to gather Google and social media reviews
Assist the marketing team with recording video content and creating material for social media platforms
Help capture client stories, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes content that reflects UMA's brand
General Administration - Maintain accurate client records in the CRM system
Handle general enquiries and direct clients to the right team member
Support the broader team with administrative tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
Essential: - Proven experience in a customer service, client liaison, or client support role - Confident and professional communicator — written, verbal, and on camera - Warm, approachable, and organised with strong attention to detail - Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously - Comfortable learning new systems, processes, and industry knowledge - Proactive self-starter who takes ownership of their responsibilities
Desirable: - Experience in financial services, banking, mortgage broking, or real estate - Familiarity with loan application or lending processes - Experience using CRM or client management software - Comfortable assisting with video recording or social media content creation
