What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will design, deliver and evaluate education programs that strengthen perioperative nursing practice and support staff to deliver evidence-based care.
· Develop and deliver clinical education aligned with legislative and organisational requirements
· Mentor and support nursing staff to achieve and maintain clinical competencies
· Facilitate bedside teaching and support learning in real-time clinical environments
· Collaborate with leadership and clinical experts to plan and evaluate education programs
· Lead quality improvement, professional development and evidence-based practice initiatives

Essential Criteria:
· Registration:Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (NSW Registered Nurse – Division 1).
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/ education.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
3. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
4. Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
5. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty
6. Demonstrated ability and commitment to collaborative and integrated multidisciplinary teamwork, aimed at building and strengthening partnerships with consumers and key stakeholders to provide best practice service delivery.
7. Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
8. Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
