Looking for a new start? Comtel have a role for an Electronics Technician (Telephony) based in Brisbane.
Comtel are a medium size, privately owned, telecommunications company based in South East Queensland. We have about 60 staff in our group who are mostly ICT focused people, with a 60/30/10 Technical/Sales/Admin split.
You need to be self-motivated and self-managed, as your role will be fully autonomous, results will be a primary review method along with internal and external stakeholder satisfaction. You will present and communicate well, and maintain a current manual drivers licence. Misrepresenting the truth to internal or external stakeholders is grounds for dismissal.
You may require working extended hours and/or on weekends (any limitations should be disclosed), you may be required periodically to drive extended distances to offsite locations, and an expectation of at least 12 nights away from home per annum as a guide whether working or training.
Due to our work in security and CCTV, you will need to pass a Queensland police check.
You will be employed under the Electronics, Electrical, and Communications modern Award.
Mandatory Requirements:
Basic IP networking fundamentals – proven experience.
VoIP phone systems - proven experience.
Wi-Fi systems (Ruckus, Ubiquiti preferred).
ACMA cablers licence.
Manual Drivers Licence.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Capable with MS Office Suite.
Be available for afterhours on-call roster.
Desired/Advantageous Experience:
Unify OpenScape Enterprise suite products (OSV, OS4000, OSCC etc).
Unify OpenScape Business installation & fault finding
Mitel MiVoice Business
Security Cameras.
Security Systems.
IT certifications – Servers, Windows products, Virtualisation,
