The Role We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cook (not a Head Chef role) to join our friendly Catering Team on a full-time basis with the possibility of some alternating weekend shifts. Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll play a key role in delivering meals that enhance the health and wellbeing of our residents. You’ll prepare a varied, appetising, and nutritious menu that meets residents’ medical and personal needs, aligns with Aged Care Quality Standards, and supports their quality of life. What You’ll Do Lead and support the Kitchen Team to create a positive, well-organised and motivated environment Deliver meals that are safe, nutritious, and beautifully presented Ensure all food safety standards and guidelines are met Manage stock ordering, maintaining par levels and reducing waste Work collaboratively to make mealtimes a highlight of each resident’s day Who You Are 1–2 years’ experience as a Cook/Chef (aged care experience preferred but not essential) Hold or willing to obtain NDIS Worker’s Screening Check Excellent communication and teamwork skills Hospitality/Cook qualifications (or working towards) About Us Yackandandah Health, proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, is a not-for-profit aged care community with a big heart.
