About the role

We are seeking a full-time Receptionist/Office Administrator to join our growing accounting and taxation firm in Gladstone, Queensland. This is a hands-on role that will be instrumental in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our office operations. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital part in creating a positive and professional impression of our company.

What you'll be doing

* Greeting clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner– offering refreshments

* Handling incoming phone calls, emails and correspondence

* Managing the general office administration, including filing, ordering supplies and maintaining an organised workspace

* Providing administrative support to the accounting and taxation team

* Coordinating and preparing for meetings and client appointments

* Managing petty cash

* Assisting with client billings and processing tax assessments

* Client invoicing and receipting

* Learning ATO and ASIC portals (training provided) to forward ATO and ASIC communication's to clients

* Issuing management reports

* Other ad-hoc duties as required

What we're looking for

* Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role, ideally within an accounting or professional services environment

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and friendly personality

* Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Ability to learn and work with various cloud based programs for practice management and tax lodgements

* Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

* A genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service
