Jobs/Responsibilities

Reporting to the IT Operations Team Leader, this position is responsible for providing first-line support to Council staff, Councillors and customers for Information Technology's end-user equipment, servers, network, applications and general technology. This includes:

* Providing phone, remote and face-to-face first level (Helpdesk) support and training to Council staff and Councillors
* Ensure operational maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and imaging are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
* Monitor Information Technology Helpdesk ticket queues ensuring adherence to in-place service levels, escalating tickets as required.
* Manage information systems to support the operation of Council's Information Technology.

Skills/Experience

To be successful in this position you will need:

* Information Technology qualifications or;
* Demonstrated experience working with, and troubleshooting, computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and Android/iOS mobile devices.
* Demonstrated experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 admin
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks.
* To be an enthusiastic champion of technology and its ability to drive improvements in work processes and environments.
* To be a positive person who thrives on collaboration and communication, seeing these as essential to building a good team environment.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal records check.
