Job Opportunity for a Specialist Cardiologist
We are seeking an experienced Cardiologist to join our dynamic Cardiology Department as a Staff Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electrophysiology and have a strong leadership presence.
* The successful candidate will contribute to the general clinical workload of the department, providing inpatient and outpatient cardiology services with a focus on heart rhythm disorders.
* They will lead weekly case discussions for complex device implantation and ablation, as well as support nurse-led clinics in electrophysiology and rhythm management.
* Additionally, they will participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, contributing to quality improvement, clinical governance, and ongoing service development.
* Actively participating in research and maintaining a strong academic presence is also essential.
Requirements and Qualifications
* FRACP Fellowship in Cardiology is required, with sub-specialisation in electrophysiology and cardiac devices being highly desirable.
* Current or eligible Specialist Registration with AHPRA is also necessary.
* The ideal candidate will have demonstrated clinical leadership in tertiary or large regional hospital settings and possess a commitment to evidence-based care, teaching, and continuous improvement.
