We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate **Food Services Manager** to join our Medirest team in **Canberra**. This is a hands-on position that will see you manage a key site within the Healthcare sector. The role will see you manage client relationships, whilst ensuring our contractual obligations are met with absolute efficiency.
As the **Food Services Manager** you will oversee and support a team of site-based employees using your exceptional management style in motivating your team with passion and enthusiasm, uniting your team to achieve the goal and exceed client and residents' expectations.
**Key Accountability of the role include**:
- Effectively oversee site operations and ensure that they're performing to the highest standard including performance within budgets, guidelines, policies and procedures
- Get the best out of every team member by listening, coaching, supporting and developing them to optimise performance, deliver annual budget and facilitate growth.
- Build and leverage effective stakeholder relationships to achieve business objectives
- Driving operational efficiency that maximises financial results and doesn't compromise on quality
- Create an imaginative and inspiring environment where everyone works together to enhance the customer experience
- Maintain appropriate control and corrective action discipline within Company planning and reporting framework
- Champion safety culture & performance
**About you**:
- Service driven and orientated, with the ability to thoroughly understand, interpret and deliver on the expectations of our clients
- High level of professionalism and impeccable personal presentation
- Strong work ethic, can-do attitude and highly personable
- Strong commercial acumen with previous experience waste management and working to budgets.
- Ability to identify contract retention
- Proven management experience within service-based hospitality environments such as restaurants or hotels is highly advantageous
