Software Systems Deployment Specialist
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient deployment of software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and implement automation tools.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of operating systems and applications.
* Automating manual tasks using configuration management tools and scripting languages.
* Managing infrastructure as code to optimize system reliability and scalability.
* Implementing and managing containerization platforms for application deployment and scaling.
* Ensuring the security of software systems through best practices and security tools.
* Participating in on-call rotations to provide support for critical incidents.
This role requires a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux, open-source applications, and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
Flexible work arrangements are available for this role, including hybrid work from home/office and 9-day fortnight schedules.
Requirements
The following qualifications and skills are required for this role:
* Tertiary qualifications in information technology or related technical discipline.
* Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
* Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment practices and tools.
* Experience with configuration management and automatic deployment tools.
* Scripting skills using languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
* Experience with X509 certificates and monitoring/analytics tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
* Development environment experience with Atlassian tool suite.
Additional experience with various technologies is desirable but not essential.
