An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Construction Manager to work on an iconic ACT residential construction project.

Position Overview

The Construction Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end construction management of a high-end residential development compromising of luxury homes and architecturally designed townhouses in Yarralumla.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the construction team and all contractors to ensure the project is delivered safely on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the construction delivery across both construction site/s, ensuring all works are executed in line with project timelines, budgets, and design specifications and drawings.
* Develop and maintain the master construction program using Microsoft Project, including sequencing and scheduling of all works.
* Manage site-based construction activities in collaboration with site teams and subcontractors.
* Oversee the implementation of the project's construction strategy and ensure alignment with development objectives.
* Direct and support a team of Site Manager(s), Site Supervisors, Foreman's, and subcontractors.
* Oversee all aspects of site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment access, crane operations, site access control, and staging.
* Ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and oversee the rectification of non-conformances.
* Establish and manage detailed construction sequencing plans to optimise workflow and resource use.
* Coordinate all trades and construction phases and critical path tasks to avoid delays and conflicts.
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all site operations comply with WHS regulations and company safety systems.
* Work closely with the Project Director, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve issues, track progress, and provide regular updates.
* Attend and lead regular site meetings, program reviews, and project reporting sessions.

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 10 years' experience in residential construction, with a proven track record delivering multi-dwelling projects.
* Strong experience delivering luxury homes and high-end townhouses.
* Extensive knowledge of construction sequencing, programming, and site logistics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling tools.
* Excellent understanding of building codes, Australian standards, and quality assurance practices.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary site teams.
* Solid knowledge and implementation of ITPs and site quality procedures.
* Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
