We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse (CN) to our Clinical Research Unit. This CN Research role is a lead Study Coordinator role, responsible for facilitating clinical research as part of a centralised team. This position provides clinical support to patients enrolled in clinical trials, and leads the development, management, and coordination of research projects conducted in the Clinical Research Unit.
The CN Research works alongside physicians and identifies, recruits, and provides ongoing care for patients that participate in clinical research. The CN Research role works within a holistic research model that includes, but is not limited to, ethics and governance submissions, budget negotiations, patient recruitment, data management, investigational product management, adverse event reporting, laboratory processing and patient scheduling.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
* Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.
* Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
* Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Salary between $4368.80 - $4678.10 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $57.48 - $61.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Fixed Term Temporary Full-time and/ or Part-time position available, hours negotiable, up to 12 months.)
