As our projects continue to expand nationally, we are looking for a motivated and hands‐on AV Technician / Installer to join our growing technical team.
The Role
We are seeking both Full Time and Permanent Part Time candidates for field‐based technical installation roles focused on the deployment, installation, commissioning and maintenance of VenueVue systems across a wide variety of hospitality and entertainment venues nationwide.
You will be responsible for installing LED display systems, AV hardware, IPTV infrastructure, structured cabling and associated networking equipment while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high professional standard.
The role is highly hands‐on and suited to someone who enjoys practical technical work, problem‐solving in the field and working on large‐scale technology deployments.
This opportunity is also ideal for a qualified electrician or technically minded tradesperson looking to transition into the rapidly growing AV and integrated technology industry.
Key Responsibilities
AV & LED Installations
* Install and commission indoor and outdoor LED display systems
* Mount and configure commercial displays, video walls, brackets and AV hardware
* Assist with custom fabrication and display mounting solutions
* Perform installation of IPTV and video distribution systems across venues
* Configure and deploy VenueVue display nodes and media playback systems
Cabling & Infrastructure
* Install, terminate, label and test structured cabling including CAT6 and CAT6A
* Run and manage AV, data and low‐voltage cabling within commercial environments
* Assist with rack building, cable management and equipment integration
* Ensure all installations are neat, compliant and professionally presented
Networking & Systems Deployment
* Install and assist with configuration of network infrastructure including switches, VLANs and basic routing
* Work with AV‐over‐IP and IPTV distribution systems
* Collaborate with remote engineers during commissioning and system setup
* Assist with firmware updates, device configuration and network diagnostics
Testing, Commissioning & Support
* Conduct on‐site testing, troubleshooting and fault finding
* Diagnose hardware, cabling, networking and signal‐related issues
* Ensure systems are fully operational prior to handover
* Complete installation documentation, commissioning reports and service records
* Provide occasional post‐installation support and maintenance
Workplace & Safety
* Follow all WHS and site safety procedures
* Work safely at heights using ladders, lifts and access equipment where required
* Ensure compliance with electrical and industry installation standards
* Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles responsibly
Skills & Experience Essential
* Previous experience in AV installation, electrical, communications or a similar technical field role
* Strong hands‐on installation skills and confidence using tools and equipment
* Basic understanding of networking and structured cabling systems
* Ability to troubleshoot and problem‐solve independently on‐site
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
* Current Australian driver's licence
* Physically capable of lifting equipment and performing installation work
Highly Desirable
* Electrical licence / A‐Grade electrical qualification
* Experience installing LED display systems or video walls
* Knowledge of IPTV, multicast networking or AV‐over‐IP technologies
* Experience with UniFi or other managed network environments
* EWP, Working at Heights or construction white card certifications
* Basic Linux, embedded systems or hardware configuration experience
* Experience within hospitality, gaming or commercial venue environments
Working Conditions
* Full‐time or Part‐time permanent position based in Brisbane
* Frequent interstate travel to client venues across Australia
* Combination of workshop preparation and on‐site deployment work
* Occasional night works or after‐hours installations depending on venue access requirements
* Active, hands‐on role involving lifting, mounting and installation tasks
