About the role
The Trainer and Assessor will be responsible to plan, develop and deliver vocational education training and assessment in accordance with the relevant training packages, Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2025 and the Australian Qualifications Framework. The Trainer and Assessor plays a crucial role in equipping our students with practical skills and knowledge that align with current industry requirements, thereby enhancing their employability and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Training Delivery – Conduct training sessions, develop training materials, assessment methods, adapt training methods and deliver.
* Assessment and Evaluation – Assess learner competency, provide feedback, maintain records and participate in validation work processes.
* Learner Support – Support learners, monitor student progress and encourage development for a positive learning experience.
* Quality Assurance – Adhere to training standards, ensure continuous improvement, and compliance standards are achieved.
Qualifications
* Hold a Bachelor of Nursing Qualification (Category A-C).
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40116 or TAE40122.
Skills and Experience
* Strong industry knowledge and vocational competency relevant to the training area of nursing, including current standards and best practice.
* Ongoing professional development in vocational education and competency-based training and assessment.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage learners and stakeholders professionally.
* Ability to identify and address training or learner issues and implement appropriate strategies.
* Strong organisation skills, with experience in planning training sessions and managing documentation and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital systems.
