Role:Neurophysiology Surgical Scientist
Employer:Sydney Children's Hospitals Network
Location: Westmead, NSW.
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time.
Hours per Week: 24.
Position Classification: Scientific Off.
Remuneration: 73440.82 - 104751.61 full time equivalent base salary range (excludes super, leave loading and salary packaging).

Responsibilities
The position encompasses the diverse responsibilities of working independently as a scientific officer under the direct supervision and delegatory authority of the senior scientists, surgeons and neurologists to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive neuromonitoring, including assessment of children with paroxysmal disorders for diagnostic purposes and epilepsy surgery.
Accurate real-time interpretation of neuromonitoring with reporting to the surgeon is critical to this role.
The position requires ensuring the clinical environment is safe, that the equipment is functioning properly, and procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
