About the Opportunity
This role contributes to the design and validation of compliant payroll processes and systems. You’ll use your expertise in payroll systems, processes, awards and agreements to advise on solutions, ensure legislative compliance, and support the delivery of reliable, sustainable payroll outcomes.
You’ll bring robust technical expertise, an eye for process improvement, and the ability to navigate complex pay legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and validation of payroll solutions, ensuring system and process changes are technically sound and deliver accurate, timely and compliant pay outcomes.
- Develop and document future‑state payroll policies, procedures and controls that enhance compliance and efficiency within the program’s new framework.
- Drive the strategic improvement and automation of payroll processes in partnership with the People Systems and Technology teams, ensuring program solutions are efficient and scalable.
- Provide technical oversight and support during the configuration, testing and implementation phases of the program to ensure solutions are built as designed.
About You
- Demonstrated experience leading pay compliance initiatives, with a strong focus on employee experience and system automation (experience with Ascender Pay is preferred but not essential).
- A comprehensive understanding of payroll management, wage compliance, legislative requirements and industry best practice.
- Deep knowledge of payroll systems, including configuration, controls, data integrity and the technical drivers of accurate pay outcomes.
