As the state transitions to a clean energy future, transmission investment and customer growth are central to unlocking Tasmania's potential as the renewable energy battery of the nation. We're looking for a highly skilled and strategic leader to take on the role of Head of Transmission Customers & Growth and drive our transmission customer strategy and growth agenda.
The role will be responsible for:
* Leading a high-performing team, to manage existing transmission customers and promote new connections.
* Provide strategic technical and commercial advice on transmission connections and regulatory frameworks.
* Build strong partnerships with customers, government and industry to deliver growth and investment through collaboration and influence.
* Oversee key customer and commercial agreements, ensuring compliance, risk management and opportunity realisation.
* Contribute to policy and advocacy to support major energy investment in Tasmania.
About you
You are an influential and strategic leader with a deep understanding of the Australian energy industry, the National Electricity Market and the transmission regulatory environment. You bring a proven ability to shape strategy, influence policy and drive commercial outcomes in a complex, regulated environment.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
* A Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or a related field.
* Demonstrated capability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams.
* Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy and driving cultural change.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to lead complex conversations.
* A proven ability to influence, negotiate and deliver results.
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse trends, set financial targets and drive effective strategies.
* A collaborative, adaptable approach, with the ability to balance customer, regulatory and business outcomes.
